Medicare Options Tailored to Your Needs

Medicare can be confusing with all of the different parts and letters. Everyone has different needs and resources. We take the time to listen to you and find solutions for your needs. We break down all of the components of Medicare to simplify it.

What Are The Parts of Medicare?

Medicare is divided into different parts to cover various healthcare services. Part A (Hospital Insurance) covers inpatient care in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, hospice care, and some home health care. Part B (Medical Insurance) includes outpatient care, doctor visits, lab tests, mental health services, and preventive services like screenings and vaccines. Part D (Prescription Drug Coverage) helps cover the cost of prescription drugs and is provided through Medicare-approved private insurance companies.

Understanding these parts allows seniors to tailor their Medicare plans to meet their specific health needs and financial situations.

Part A – Hospital Insurance

  • Inpatient Hospital Care
  • Home Health Care
  • Hospice Care
  • Skilled Nursing

Part B – Medical Insurance

  • Doctors Visits
  • Outpatient Care
  • Durable Medical Equipment
  • Some Preventative Services

Part C – Medicare Advantage

  • Combines Part A and Part B
  • Can also include Part D

Part D – Drug Coverage

  • Prescription Drug Coverage

Option 1

Original Medicare

Original Medicare consists of Part A (Hospital Insurance) and Part B (Medical Insurance). It is a federal program providing coverage for inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facilities, hospice care, outpatient care, doctor visits, and preventive services. With this option, you can visit any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare. However, Original Medicare does not cover all medical expenses, leaving gaps that might require additional coverage through Medigap policies or separate Part D plans for prescription drugs.

Includes:

  • Part A – Hospital Insurance
  • Part B – Medical Insurance

Options:

  • Part D – Drug Coverage
  • Supplemental Coverage

Option 2

Medicare Advantage – Part C

Medicare Advantage (Part C) is an alternative to Original Medicare, offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. These plans bundle Part A, Part B, and usually Part D (prescription drug coverage), often including additional benefits like dental, vision, and hearing. Medicare Advantage plans typically have network restrictions, requiring you to use specific doctors and hospitals. They may offer lower out-of-pocket costs and extra services, but your choice of healthcare providers might be more limited compared to Original Medicare.

Includes:

  • Part A – Hospital Insurance
  • Part B – Medical Insurance
  • May Include Part D Drug Coverage

Additional Benefits:

  • Low Max Out of Pocket Costs
  • Low Premiums or No Premiums
